A broad-spectrum antibiotic that has activity against many bacteria. It acts by binding to the 50S ribosome, thereby inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis.
ppprophylaxis and treatment of gastrointestinal and respiratory tract infections caused by Actinobacillus spp, Pasteurella spp, Salmonella spp, and Streptococcus spp sensitive to florfenicol. The presence of the disease in the flock should be established before prophylactic treatment.

Poultry: 1 litre per 2000 litres drinking water (10 mg/kg bw) for 3 days.
chicken (meat and offal): 7 days; eggs: do not use in poultry producing eggs for human consumption.
