An orally active antibiotic
Each ml contains: levofloxacin hemihydrate 100 mg.
An orally active antibiotic and is active against both gram positive and gram negative bacteria. Levofloxacin hydrate inhibits the DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV.
Treatment of infections caused by strains sensitive to fluoquinolones, as Avibacterium paragallinarum (Coryza contagiosa avium), Pasteurella spp., E. coli, Salmonella spp., Staphylococcus spp. and Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae.
Chicken and turkeys.
Oral use in drinking water.
Chicken and turkeys: 1 litre/2000 litres drinking water, for 5- 3 days.
Chicken (meat and ofal): 9 days.
Turkey (meat and ofal): 11 days.
Eggs: Do not use in birds producing eggs for human consumption.
