Each g contains: lincomycin (hydrochloride) 800 mg.
Lincomycin is a macrolide bacteriostatic antibiotic and is highly selective in its action, Active against gram positive organisms. Lincomycin Is readily absorbed when given orally and excreted mainly via the bile. Lincomycin acts by inhibiting of bacterial protein synthesis.
Pigs: Treatment and metaphylaxis of enzootic pneumonia caused by Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae. The presence of the disease should be confirmed before starting the metaphylaxis.
Poultry: Treatment and metaphylaxis of necrotic enteritis caused by Clostridium perfringens. The presence of the disease should be confirmed before starting the metaphylaxis.
Poultry and pigs.
Oral use in drinking water.
Pigs: Enzootic pneumonia: 10 mg of lincomycin per kg bw/day (equivalent to 12.5 mg per kg bw/day) for 21 consecutive days.
Poultry: Necrotic enteritis: 5 mg of lincomycin per kg bw/day (equivalent to 6.25 mg per kg bw/day) for 7 consecutive days.
The quantity to use depends on the average weight and the water use of the animals treated.
Pigs: (meat and offal): 1 day. Poultry (meat and offal): 5 days; do not use in poultry producing eggs for human consumption.
