Injectables

A synthetic derivative of the glucocorticoid hydroxycortisone which has been used for many years in veterinary medicine. It is used in the treatment of metabolic diseases (e.g. ketosis) in ruminants, inflammatory diseases in a number of animal species and it also shows an antiallergic effect. The hydrosoluble salts are rapidly absorbed from the inoculation site, obtaining a maximum serum concentration within few minutes after subcutaneous or intramuscular administration.
