Minimum protein binding which results in greater antibacterial activity. It presents a blood-bile-intestine cycle which gives longer time of action. It has excellent tissue diffusion which means great clinical efficacy. It diffuses well through inflamed meninges thus it can cross the encephalic barrier when it is affected by inflammatory processes.
